Pink is the new black

And whether I like it or not, I've just gotta' learn to deal with it. As I would usually tell someone.... just embrace it baby. Let's be honest: I have never ever been a fan of pink. Perhaps when I was in my pre-tweens but surely that doesn't count. It's funny how certain colours can lead to a certain perception of oneself or others; when I think of pink I straight away align it to flirty, fun, girly (eugh) and somewhat vulnerable - all of which I know, is extremely judgmental but it's just become second nature to draw two and two together and assume the typical sterotype of just that - pink.

But alas, look out world - pink is not only for those girls who love a good pink lippy and some fluffy ole' heels; pink has been drenched in shows right across fashion week worldwide. Which only means one thing ...time to try it out? WARNING: I am not a girly girl - if you see me in pink I have not conformed to any kind of social construct: simply trying a new trend, and ain't nobody got time for missin' out on those kind of ordeals.

MONDAYITIS / COFFEE CRAVING BROOKE

Well it’s Monday morning, which could only potentially mean one thing – rant time. Okay so first thing’s firs t- why is it that Monday’s are ALWAYS such a challenge to get yourself up and running. Seriously but – I had already drank two coffees before 5AM …I know, I know - I need help or perhaps I just need more coffee? …Takers, anyone? So for the past couple of weeks I’ve been getting my part-time sociologist/full-time over analytical thinking cap on. I’ve come to understand the appealing-like nature that is – fashion. Looking from the outside in, the industry can appear ever so appealing with perks being thrown at you from almost every (good figure flattering) angle but as you start to physically immerse yourself (and your time) in an environment that is more fast-paced than the average thinker (legit) you learn quite quickly it’s practically like a game of survival of the fittest. Actually but. And that my friends is why you need a solid pair of a. amazing shoes that you would 100% feel totally content wearing to bed b. the best fricken’ styling kit ever and c. an unquestionable nature with a side of relentless ability to feel any kind of emotion. Take notes: thou shalt not take sh*t – ever. Be extremely careful with who you allow into your life, don’t let the nature of what you do become the nature of who you are and what people enjoy. Coming from lessons learnt, the further you immerse yourself into ‘fashion’ the more appealing it becomes for people to be attracted to your lifestyle rather than the individual and their own personal self. WE ARE STILL HUMAN, OKAY? I do live a normal life …sometimes.

Enjoy the edit and my new amazing goodies. These boots are actually worth crying over. But don’t - that’s just sad… and ridiculous… and absolutely bonkers. All of which I’m totally fine with. Hahahaa boom boom #OHMONDAYyougotme

STYLED TO ROCK X KELLY OSBOURNE X THE ICONIC.COM.AU

This week on Styled to Rock they featured the ever-so amazing Kelly Osbourne. Her style is effortlessly unique oozin' with personality which is most definitely influenced by her rock 'n' rock background. As challenge time approached, the idea behind this week was to create an outfit set for the red carpet - too easy, yeah? Uh no, like everything, there was a catch involved... no black allowed - zilch. UH FREAKOUT TIME!! As per each week, I got hunting on theiconic.com.au in search for the perfect red carpet attire for the ever so punk inspired (aka. black black and more black) Kelly Osbourne. So with my creative brain on, my glass of wine beside me and my Pharrell Williams serenading me I started hunting ...okay not actually but still - shopping sometimes feel that way... am I right or am I right?. What better way to dress Kelly in then with some big ass boots that scream punk/rock/I don't give a sh*t what you think of me kind of vibes. Actually but - good on her. You can shop this whole look on The Iconic right now - these boots are to bloody die for. 100% NO JOKE I died a little when my feet became in contact with the soles of amazing Tony Bianco - because no one does shoes better than Tony.

Stay tuned for next weeks outfit - watch out Miley Cyrus, I'm taking over - bitch. #I'mthewreckingball

Shopping like no other - CHANEL STYLE

Oh Lagerfield, you never let us down with your inevitable eye to think, create and design an incredible, unforgettable experience had by all. Yesterday Lagerfield debuted his F/W14 collection in Paris quite literally down a high-luxe, Chanel enthused, shopping isle. As an outsider looking in, I was blown away with the concept of creating a life size, high-fashion Chanel Supermarket. The store was completely laid out aisle to aisle in Chanel branded stock including pasta, soft drink, first-aid kits and more; you name it, they had it. As per tradition, Karl finished the show alongside his main gal' Cara Delevingne as they strolled along what is, the most incredible grocery store I have ever seen. ...Now where can I get my fix?
